World Liberty Asserts Independence of WorldClaw Amid Financial Ambiguities

World Liberty Financial, associated with the Trump family, announced that it does not own or control the Hong Kong-based AI platform, WorldClaw. Despite these claims, the company refrained from clarifying any potential financial relationships between the two entities.

In a statement to CoinDesk, World Liberty’s spokesman, David Wachsman, emphasized that “WorldClaw is an independent company, not owned or operated by World Liberty Financial.” He noted that the platform utilizes USD1 as a payment method, which is a stablecoin issued by World Liberty.

Unanswered Questions Over Financial Links

While Wachsman confirmed the independence of WorldClaw, he did not disclose whether World Liberty, or any of its affiliates, holds equity in the AI company or engages in any form of revenue sharing. This lack of transparency follows Reuters reporting on links between World Liberty and WorldClaw, particularly regarding AI models sourced from providers under U.S. national-security scrutiny.

The platform offers developers access to a plethora of AI models through its service called WorldRouter, streamlining access to various providers, including both U.S. and Chinese companies. Details about the usage of the service remain unclear, though it has been promoted by Donald Trump Jr. since its launch in May 2026.

Market Dynamics of USD1 and WorldClaw

USD1 is currently the fifth-largest dollar-backed stablecoin, with approximately $4 billion in circulation as indicated by CoinGecko, and it is involved in significant trading volume, turning over about $700 million daily.

WorldClaw’s terms state that the company operates independently and that World Liberty does not possess control over its operations. Furthermore, the services are unavailable to residents or companies based in the U.S. and China, as confirmed by Wachsman.

Previous Financial Scrutiny

World Liberty has previously faced scrutiny regarding its financial practices. In April, CoinDesk reported that the company secured tens of millions in loans using its WLFI tokens as collateral, which impacted other depositors seeking withdrawals.

As this story unfolds, the relationship between World Liberty and WorldClaw remains heavily questioned, necessitating further scrutiny of their operational and financial conduct.
