Grvt Partners with Ondo to Establish $100 Million USDY Position
CeDeFi trading platform Grvt has announced a strategic partnership with Ondo Finance, aiming to build a position of up to $100 million in the tokenization firm’s yield-bearing product, USDY, within the next 12 months.
Focus on Yield Generation
The partnership’s central feature involves Grvt incorporating USDY returns into its Grvt Earn product, allowing users to gain access to yields without the need to purchase or manage the token directly. With an annual percentage yield (APY) of approximately 3.5%, a fully allocated $100 million in USDY could generate an estimated $3.5 million in annualized gross yield.
Integration into Grvt Earn
Grvt will manage the USDY on its balance sheet, with the income generated being funneled into the single base rate offered through Grvt Earn. This structure enables users to accumulate returns from various financial sources under one balance.
USDY Specifications
USDY, which is issued by Ondo Finance, is a tokenized secured note primarily backed by short-term U.S. Treasurys, Treasury-focused ETFs, and bank deposits. With current assets under management reported at about $2.14 billion and around 15,626 holders, Grvt’s planned position could represent approximately 4.6% of USDY’s market.
Commentary from Grvt Leadership
Grvt CEO Hong Yea commented on the innovative approach of Grvt Earn, stating, “We built Grvt Earn so users can keep their capital productive without having to manage the financial plumbing underneath it. Together, we are creating a model where one balance can draw from multiple financial markets while remaining ready to trade.”
Broader Impact on Tokenized Markets
This partnership provides Grvt access to the U.S. Treasury market through a tokenized product and reflects their optimism regarding the role of tokenized assets in supporting ongoing onchain financial services.
Ondo Finance’s Expanding Portfolio
The collaboration additionally adds to Ondo Finance’s distribution channels. The firm has previously integrated USDY into decentralized finance (DeFi) markets and operates another product, OUSG, which offers tokenized exposure to U.S. government securities.
Grvt’s Recent Growth
Grvt’s deal with Ondo follows a successful $19 million funding round completed in September 2025, enhancing their infrastructure in hybrid trading. The platform aims to develop a zero-knowledge-powered decentralized exchange, placing great emphasis on privacy, security, and scalability.
