BitGo Reports $4.3B in Q2 Revenue Amid $19M Loss

BitGo Sustains Growth with $4.3 Billion Revenue

BitGo Holdings has announced a significant revenue increase for the second quarter of 2026, reporting a rise of 79.6% year-over-year, reaching $4.33 billion compared to $2.41 billion in the same period last year. This growth is attributed mainly to expanded digital asset sales and the company’s stablecoin business.

Financial Performance Overview

Despite the impressive revenue figures, BitGo recorded a net loss of $19 million, a reversal from last year’s profit of $38.3 million. This loss reflects fluctuations in digital asset valuations and a marked increase in operational costs. The loss is, however, an improvement from the $60.7 million net loss reported in the previous quarter.

Client Growth and Market Expansion

BitGo saw its client base grow by 26% to 5,833, while the total assets on its platform stood at $65.2 billion, despite a year-over-year decline from $90.3 billion. The company attributes this growth to its stablecoin-as-a-service, which saw revenues increase by 148% to $38.8 million.

Costs and Operational Adjustments

Much of BitGo’s revenue stemmed from digital asset sales, which reached $4.20 billion, though these sales incurred nearly matching direct costs of $4.19 billion. Consequently, the trading margin diminished, falling to 17 basis points from 32 basis points in the first quarter. Additionally, the company has made structural changes, including a 15% reduction in its workforce, projected to generate annual savings of approximately $9 million starting in Q3.

CFO Transition and Future Outlook

Ed Reginelli, the Chief Financial Officer, will resign effective September 15, 2026, which has prompted BitGo to initiate a search for a successor. The company has stated that his departure is not due to any disagreements regarding operations. Looking forward, BitGo anticipates stable revenue for Q3, contingent upon market activities and digital asset prices remaining consistent with recent trends.

Conclusion

As BitGo navigates the complexities of the market, it ends the quarter with $159 million in cash and a portfolio of 2,523 Bitcoin valued at $147.7 million. The company’s resilience amid market fluctuations and strategic shifts will be closely watched by investors as it prepares for a potentially challenging future.
