Arbitrum Gains Revenue Stream from Robinhood Chain Amid Layer 2 Expansion

Arbitrum Secures Revenue Stream from Robinhood Chain

In a significant development for the Arbitrum ecosystem, Offchain Labs co-founder Steven Goldfeder announced that fees generated from the Robinhood Chain will contribute to the network’s financial growth. As part of a new revenue model, **10% of the net protocol revenue** will support the Arbitrum ecosystem, with an allocation of **8% to the Arbitrum DAO treasury** and **2% earmarked for development funding**.

Impact of Robinhood Chain on Arbitrum

The Robinhood Chain’s launch comes as enterprise adoption of Layer 2 solutions speeds up, providing Arbitrum with direct revenue opportunities. Goldfeder stated, “as enterprise adoption accelerates, Arbitrum is ready to capture revenue.” Additionally, he noted that **100% of fees from Arbitrum One** will directly benefit the Arbitrum treasury.

Details on the Robinhood Wallet and Tokenized Stocks

Robinhood Chain, which is built on Arbitrum technology, is now available within the Robinhood Wallet. Users can seamlessly bridge assets from several networks, including Solana and Ethereum, and conduct swaps directly in the app. This follows the recent public mainnet launch of Robinhood Chain, which aims to facilitate the trading of tokenized stocks and DeFi tools.

Revenue Model and Future Prospects for Arbitrum

According to an Arbitrum DAO factsheet, the revenue sharing model describes **protocol net revenue** rather than a straightforward share of user payments, which may improve transparency regarding revenue generation from partnered chains. The initiative aims to bolster community funding and development through dynamic revenue streams.

With tokenized stocks being a significant feature of the new chain, Robinhood is set to attract activity across trading, lending, and liquidity venues, further enhancing Arbitrum’s ability to capture and sustain revenue growth as the network develops.
