Ripple Secures $275 Million for Prime Brokerage Expansion
Ripple has successfully raised $275 million through an upsized senior note offering aimed at expanding its prime brokerage operations in the United States. This financing will support the growth of Ripple Prime, enabling it to enhance its offerings in financing, clearing, and other financial services.
Details of the Funding
The funds were raised through a private offering of senior unsecured notes, attracting participation from institutional investors across various financial markets. Ripple has not disclosed details such as the maturity or coupon rate of the notes.
Ripple previously secured a $200 million credit facility managed by Neuberger Berman in May 2026, which adds to the funding influx, bringing the total financing available to Ripple Prime to $475 million since May.
Ripple Prime’s Operational Expansion
Ripple Prime, which operates as a non-bank prime brokerage, offers services across digital assets and traditional markets. With the newly acquired funds, Ripple is set to enhance its clearing, financing, and trading services, providing institutional clients with access to a broader range of products including crypto, forex, derivatives, and fixed income.
Since acquiring Hidden Road in October 2025 for $1.25 billion, Ripple has integrated its operations into Ripple Prime, enhancing its capacity to serve institutional clients such as hedge funds and proprietary trading firms.
Positioning for Growth
Ripple Prime’s expansion aligns with Ripple’s commitment to integrate its blockchain products within the brokerage framework. This includes leveraging Ripple USD (RLUSD) as collateral in trades and plans to transition some post-trade activities to the XRP Ledger.
Ripple Prime’s operations have gained a foothold in the U.S. market, supported by prior initiatives such as obtaining a broker-dealer license and launching new services for institutional clients.
A Bright Future for Ripple Prime
With this recent series of funding efforts, Ripple aims to solidify its presence in the prime brokerage space, focusing on the growing intersection of traditional and digital asset financial infrastructures. Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel expressed that the investor participation underscores confidence in Ripple’s long-term vision.
The $275 million raised will be critical for Ripple as it aims to continue expanding its services in prime brokerage, financing, and multi-asset clearing across the United States.
