Ring Protocol Enhances Trading with Orbs’ Advanced Order Features

Ring Protocol has integrated Orbs-powered trading functionalities, specifically dLIMIT and dTWAP orders, across four significant EVM-compatible blockchain networks: Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain.

Decentralized Trading Innovations

The integration allows users to take advantage of decentralized limit and time-weighted average price orders, thanks to Orbs’ Layer 3 infrastructure. This addition empowers traders by giving them more control over their execution while ensuring the self-custody of their assets, without incurring additional costs for these advanced trading features.

Understanding dLIMIT and dTWAP

The dLIMIT protocol permits users to set specific target prices for buy or sell orders. A transaction will only execute when the desired price is met or surpassed, providing users with better control over their trading activities without the dependency on centralized intermediaries.

In contrast, the dTWAP protocol allows users to split larger trades into smaller transactions, executing them over a period they select. This method can mitigate the market impact of significant orders and enhance execution efficiency by utilizing on-chain liquidity.

Orbs’ Layer 3 Capabilities

Orbs has developed both dLIMIT and dTWAP as permissionless protocols designed to extend the capabilities of existing decentralized exchanges. Their Layer 3 infrastructure employs a Proof-of-Stake validator network, enabling complex trading functionalities beyond those available through native smart contracts.

Wider Access to Advanced Tools

“Advanced trading tools should be available to every DeFi user, not just professional traders,”

said Ran Hammer, Chief Business Officer at Orbs. He emphasized that the integration with Ring Protocol broadens access to precise and flexible on-chain execution strategies, aiming to raise the standards for decentralized trading infrastructures.

Building on Few Protocol

Ring Protocol operates using Few Protocol, also known as Financial Elastic Wrapping, which enables the wrapping of tokens before they interact with automated market makers. This innovative design facilitates virtual liquidity and enhances trading capabilities that extend beyond typical decentralized exchange functionalities.

Currently, Ring Protocol has achieved over $5 billion in cumulative trading volume and maintains more than $30 million in total value locked.

Expanding the DeFi Landscape

The recent integration with Ring Protocol adds to a growing list of decentralized exchanges adopting Orbs-powered tools, which include platforms like PancakeSwap, SushiSwap, and QuickSwap. This broader rollout enhances availability and usability of advanced on-chain trading solutions across the DeFi ecosystem.

For users of Ring Protocol, the integration not only introduces decentralized limit and TWAP orders without sacrificing self-custody but also provides both retail and professional traders with diverse execution strategies across multiple EVM networks.
