Noxa Exits Amid Robinhood Chain’s Memecoin Surge
Noxa has ceased token launches following its significant role in propelling the Robinhood Chain to a notable $4 billion in decentralized exchange volume within just two weeks. The platform reportedly earned over $12 million in fees before halting its operations.
Impact of Noxa’s Departure
In the wake of Noxa’s exit on July 11, the memecoin CASHCAT experienced a sharp decline, dropping more than 33% within 24 hours. This decline coincided with a broader downturn in Robinhood Chain’s trading volume, which peaked at $878 million on July 12 but has since decreased significantly.
Noxa was instrumental in the launch of over 60,000 tokens and accounted for approximately 75% of all deployments on the Robinhood Chain. The platform had become a dominant player, surpassing Solana-based platforms in daily protocol fees.
Continuing Decline for CASHCAT and Others
CASHCAT, which reached a peak market capitalization of $226 million, became Noxa’s standout launch, attracting 267,642 unique wallets. However, as Noxa pulled back, many other tokens associated with Robinhood Chain, including FOX and HOODIE, also witnessed declines in their market value.
Responses from the Crypto Community
The reactions from the crypto community were mixed, with some users viewing Noxa’s withdrawal as an end to speculative, bot-driven token launches, while others labeled it as a potential rug pull. Trader 0xAvast, who monitored CASHCAT’s rise from around $10,000 to $230 million, dismissed fears of the collapse as “irrelevant FUD.”
Despite trading volume drops, reports indicate that Robinhood Chain’s total value locked remains near $200 million. Competitor launchpads, including flap.sh and bankr, are now attempting to fill the void left by Noxa.
The Future of Robinhood Chain
As rival platforms jockey for position in light of Noxa’s absence, it remains uncertain how Robinhood Chain will fare without its largest launchpad. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev previously declared, “Robinhood Summer is here,” shortly before Noxa’s operational halt.
