Payment Process for Emirates Customers

Customers can utilize Crypto.com Pay when booking flights priced in UAE dirhams online. Mobile users will be redirected to the Crypto.com app to approve the transaction after selecting the payment method in the Emirates App. Those using desktop will scan a QR code displayed on the checkout page and complete the transaction via the Crypto.com app. After payment approval, Emirates will issue the booking confirmation along with an electronic ticket.

Partnership Background and Regulatory Compliance

The launch of this payment option follows a memorandum of understanding signed between Emirates and Crypto.com in July 2025, which aimed to explore the addition of crypto payment services. This rollout has received regulatory approval from the UAE’s Central Bank, as Crypto.com operates under a Stored Value Facilities license.

Limitations and Future Developments

Currently, the service is limited to eligible UAE residents and does not extend to travelers outside the UAE or bookings in other currencies.
