Dinari Expands Access to Tokenized U.S. Stocks for Investors

Dinari Expands Access to Tokenized U.S. Stocks

Dinari, a firm specializing in tokenized equities, is broadening its platform to eligible U.S. investors, allowing them to engage in trading of tokenized U.S. stocks. This expansion highlights a significant shift towards custodial tokenization in the U.S. market, as interest in blockchain-based equities consistently grows.

New Trading Options Available

The update enables investors to buy and sell a total of 724 tokenized U.S. stocks, which includes all companies listed in the S&P 500. Transactions will be conducted using Circle’s USDC stablecoin via self-custody wallets. The tokenized offerings will be available across popular blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, and Avalanche, with plans to support Solana and Sei shortly.

Partnerships and Infrastructure

Dinari’s stock offerings will utilize a regulated broker-dealer and transfer agent infrastructure, collaborating with partners such as Circle, Stripe-owned Privy, Para, and Monaco for enhanced compliance and operational efficiency.

Emerging Trends in Tokenization

The move comes as tokenized equities are regarded as an emerging frontier within the real-world asset sector. Following the debut of tokenized U.S. Treasury funds, there’s a growing trend among firms to tap into public equities, leveraging blockchain to modernize trading, settlement, and shareholder recordkeeping processes. Citi has projected that the market for tokenized securities could balloon to a staggering $5.5 trillion by 2030.

Positioning Among Competitors

As the tokenization landscape diversifies, companies are exploring different models. For instance, Robinhood and Kraken’s parent company have explored offshore structures to introduce tokenized stocks, while Ondo Finance recently announced a framework aligned with the SEC, involving tokenized stocks tied to established funds. In contrast, Dinari’s offerings, known as dShares, are uniquely structured to be backed one-for-one by underlying shares held by regulated custodians, thereby preserving critical shareholder rights, such as dividends and voting rights.

Broadening Market Reach

With dShares currently distributed across more than 85 jurisdictions, Dinari’s recent launch marks a pivotal extension, making its tokenized offerings available to eligible investors in the U.S. Notably, investors can receive dividends directly in USDC, enhancing the appeal of Dinari’s platform as it ventures into a competitive landscape of tokenized assets.
