BNB Price Reaches New Highs but Struggles Below $600

BNB Price Rallies Yet Faces Resistance

BNB price surged more than 5% on July 31, 2026, climbing to around $590 after breaking a long-standing descending trendline that had constrained its price for approximately 45 days. Despite this upward movement, the cryptocurrency faced selling pressure just below the $600 mark.

Recent Price Movements

Initially starting from the $570 region, BNB reached an intraday high nearing $595 before stabilizing at about $590. This breakthrough marked a significant shift from the narrow trading range experienced in the latter half of July. The price action on the 4-hour chart highlighted a definitive breakout above $575, followed by further gains towards $595.

Market Indicators and Momentum

Despite buyers defending the $586–$590 area, multiple upper wicks around $595 suggest that sellers are active just below the key psychological level of $600. Previous attempts to surpass this level were unsuccessful, with BNB reaching nearly $598 in June and close to $594 in early July.

The recent price breakout appears stronger than prior attempts, supported by *higher lows* around $560$570. To confirm a sustained breakout, BNB needs to close above $600.

Drivers Behind the Price Movement

Technical positioning is a primary factor driving BNB’s recent rally. The cryptocurrency has broken above a resistance line that has dominated its trend since mid-June. Analyst Hanah noted the potential for a shift in short-term momentum after weeks of downward pressure, stating,

“If BNB can hold above the breakout level, it could pave the way for a stronger bullish continuation.”

Additionally, BNB Chain has been experiencing increased activity, processing approximately $19 billion in weekly decentralized exchange volume, which has seen it surpass competitors like Ethereum and Solana. This uptick in network utilization, rising from roughly 17% to nearly 30%, signals increased demand for BNB, which users require to pay transaction fees.

Potential Challenges Ahead

Despite favorable indicators, there remain obstacles to a successful breakout. The immediate rally is heavily influenced by market conditions, particularly as geopolitical tensions and high energy prices raise inflation concerns. Such conditions could restrict speculative investments, affecting BNB’s ability to maintain its rally.

Currently, the BNB price holds above $580, making this a crucial support level in the near term. A close above $600 would favor continuation towards the $605–$610 liquidations cluster. Conversely, dropping below $573 could indicate a failed breakout, returning BNB to a more consolidated range.
