Swiss Crypto Bank AMINA Explores Public Listing with Cantor’s Guidance

AMINA Sets Sights on Public Markets

The Swiss cryptocurrency bank AMINA is taking steps towards a potential public listing with the assistance of Cantor Fitzgerald. The bank is currently exploring various options to enter the public markets, although discussions are ongoing and no final decisions have been made.

Exploration of Strategic Options

Founded in 2018 as SEBA Bank and rebranded in 2023 as AMINA, the digital asset bank is mainly focusing on strategic growth capital. According to an AMINA spokesperson, the company is considering a reverse takeover of a digital asset treasury company but has also evaluated a merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC).

“SPACs and other vehicles have contacted us for quick stock market listings, but our focus remains on options that will support AMINA’s strategic growth,” the spokesperson remarked in emailed comments. No current discussions with any SPACs or Digital Asset Treasuries have been confirmed, as the emphasis is on discussions with potential investors instead.

Current Position in the Crypto Sector

AMINA is regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and is among a select group of financial institutions specializing in digital assets. The bank offers services including crypto trading, custody, staking, and lending, has expanded its operations to regions including Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, and India.

Market Landscape and Future Prospects

The cryptocurrency sector has seen an influx of interest in public offerings over the past year, highlighted by companies like Circle Internet and Gemini’s Space Station going public. However, after an initial strong demand for these listings, the post-listing performance has varied amidst declining crypto prices and a cautious trading environment. This has led several prominent crypto firms, including Kraken and Grayscale, to postpone their IPO plans.

AMINA has reported a Tier 1 capital of 74.6 million francs (approximately $91 million) by the end of 2025 and has successfully raised around $245 million from investors, such as Julius Baer and DeFi Technologies.
