In a recent development, Revolut, a crypto-friendly digital bank, has achieved a valuation of $115 billion following a secondary share sale. This significant milestone makes Revolut Europe’s most valuable private company, marking an impressive 53% increase in valuation within less than a year.

Strong Financial Performance

The company also reported strong performance for the year 2025, featuring a pre-tax profit of $2.3 billion, which reflects a 57% increase from the previous year, alongside revenues totaling $6 billion – a 46% increase year-over-year. Additionally, Revolut’s customer base has surpassed 75 million.

Details of the Share Sale

Revolut priced its shares at $2,017 each during this transaction, as detailed in an internal communication from CEO Nik Storonsky, reported by The Wall Street Journal. This secondary share sale primarily allowed employees and existing shareholders to sell their stakes rather than raising new capital for the bank.

Comparative Valuation in the Banking Sector

With this valuation, Revolut not only eclipses its previous valuation of $75 billion last November but also positions itself above major banking rivals like Barclays, which has a market value around $95 billion. However, it is essential to note that Revolut’s valuation stems from a private transaction, the specifics of which remain undisclosed.

Regulatory Advances and Future Plans

Revolut has made strides in the regulatory space, having secured a MiCA license to provide crypto services across the EU and obtaining a full banking license in the UK. The company has also expressed intentions of attaining a valuation as high as $200 billion in a potential future initial public offering (IPO).
