BNB Chain Surpasses 61% Share of Franklin Templeton’s Benji Platform
BNB Chain Takes the Lead in Franklin Templeton’s Benji Platform
BNB Chain has solidified its position as the dominant blockchain for assets managed under Franklin Templeton’s Benji tokenization platform, now accounting for approximately $1.5 billion in assets.
Record-Breaking Growth
According to data from RWA.xyz, BNB Chain holds 61.71% of the platform’s distributed asset value, surpassing Stellar, which previously led the market. Just a month prior, BNB Chain’s holdings surged by an astounding 1,226%, reflecting a significant shift in asset distribution on the Benji platform, which totals about $2.44 billion.
Historical Context
Franklin Templeton launched its blockchain-based money market fund on Stellar in 2021, marking an innovative step for traditional finance utilizing public blockchain technology. However, with the recent integration of the Benji Technology Platform into BNB Chain in 2025, the firm has expanded its tokenized finance offerings using multiple public blockchains.
Stellar’s Ongoing Role
Despite BNB’s recent ascendance, Stellar continues to play a pivotal role in Franklin Templeton’s tokenization history. Crypto analyst ALLINCRYPTO noted that while Stellar laid the groundwork for the firm’s tokenization efforts, BNB’s growth demonstrates the rapid development of tokenized finance.
Strategic Partnerships
Franklin Templeton is broadening its accessible tokenized products through collaborations with major crypto entities like Kraken and Binance. In June, the firm enabled institutional clients to seamlessly trade between stablecoins and tokenized fund products via MoonPay, further integrating blockchain technology into its operations.
Future of Tokenization
The quick evolution of asset distribution in the crypto landscape highlights how traditional financial firms are increasingly leveraging public blockchains. As Franklin Templeton continues to innovate and explore new tokenized products, its strategic moves signify a growing interest in the adoption of tokenized finance across the industry.
