Evernorth Introduces $44 Million CEO Award Amid XRP Listing Plans

Evernorth Unveils $44 Million CEO Equity Package

Evernorth, a company backed by Ripple, has disclosed a significant $44 million equity award for its CEO, Asheesh Birla, according to a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This announcement comes as Evernorth is progressing with its merger with Armada Acquisition Corp II, which is pivotal for launching the largest publicly listed XRP treasury on Nasdaq.

Details of the SEC Filing

The fourth amended Form S-4 registration statement outlines the compensation for executive leadership, including the substantial equity award for Birla, which will include specific vesting terms. Additionally, Matt Frymier, the Chief Financial Officer, is set to receive a base salary alongside a $5.6 million equity award.

Evernorth’s amended filing also reveals restricted stock unit awards valued at $750,000 for various executives, pending approval from the board’s compensation committee and shareholder consent.

Advancement Towards Merger and Nasdaq Listing

This filing not only underscores executive compensation but also signifies Evernorth’s movement towards finalizing its merger with Armada Acquisition Corp II. If granted regulatory and shareholder approval, the merged entity is expected to trade under the ticker XRPN on the Nasdaq exchange.

The filing indicates that Evernorth has secured over $1 billion in gross proceeds from investors, including notable backers such as Ripple and Kraken.

Expanded Communications in Japan

In a related initiative, Evernorth has launched a new social media channel in Japanese, aimed at providing information related to XRP. The company emphasized Japan’s historical support for XRP but did not announce any new operational activities in the country. The channel will focus on sharing market insights while avoiding discussions about XRP price movements.

XRP Market and Adoption Trends

As Evernorth awaits the finalization of its merger, shares of Armada Acquisition Corp II have shown resilience, increasing by approximately 2.25% this year. Meanwhile, XRP has been making headlines with a notable rise in the adoption of tokenized real-world assets on the XRP Ledger, escalating from $150 million to $4 billion within the last year.

Recently, XRP traded around $1.10, reflecting a 2.3% increase over the previous 24 hours, amidst a surge in trading volume. With the upcoming release of U.S. consumer price index inflation data, market activity continues to remain dynamic.
