ZeroStack Raises $1 Billion in Noncash Token Deal; Ripple Prime Secures $275 Million

Crypto Firms Raise Over $1.2 Billion in Recent Funding Rounds

Between August 16 and August 22, 2026, crypto and blockchain companies announced approximately $1.298 billion raised across six financing transactions. The significant contributions came primarily from ZeroStack and Ripple Prime. ZeroStack’s $1 billion noncash token contribution dominated the landscape, while Ripple Prime completed a $275 million debt offering.

ZeroStack’s Major Token Transaction

ZeroStack’s milestone involved the receipt of $1 billion in MemeCore tokens through a strategic stock-based transaction. This deal comprises approximately 925.9 million M tokens, as opposed to a traditional cash investment. In return, ZeroStack will issue 3.5 million common shares and pre-funded warrants for up to 36.2 million additional shares, valued at $25.19 per share. This price reflects a significant premium over ZeroStack’s recent market trading price.

Rudy Rong, principal of MemeCore, is anticipated to take on the role of ZeroStack’s president as part of this arrangement, which aims to broaden the company’s digital asset treasury strategy. It is important to note that although this substantial contribution is counted in the fundraising total, it should be differentiated from standard venture capital due to its noncash nature.

Ripple Prime’s Debt Offering

Ripple Prime’s funding involves $275 million raised through an upsized private offering of senior unsecured notes, targeting institutional investors. Ripple has not disclosed details regarding the interest rate or maturity date of these notes. The proceeds will mainly aid in expanding its U.S. prime brokerage operations, which include financing and services across both digital and traditional asset markets.

This note offering follows a previous $200 million credit facility Ripple Prime secured in May, enhancing their capacity with a total of $475 million as they aim to solidify their market position.

Other Notable Fundraising Efforts

NeoSoul also made waves this week, closing an $11 million pre-Series A round to enhance its AI-driven trading platform. This funding came from multiple investors including MH Ventures and Amber Group. NeoSoul focuses on cultivating AI-based agents for market analysis and trade execution.

Further contributing to the landscape, several smaller rounds support projects within the spheres of privacy, decentralized finance (DeFi), and AI infrastructure. Noteworthy mentions include Beldex raising $8 million for privacy applications and Twyne securing $2.5 million for its lending protocol.

Conclusion and Future Directions

The cumulative financing for the week indicates a robust interest in blockchain technologies and related ventures, although the figures primarily encompass debt offerings and noncash contributions rather than traditional venture capital investments. As these companies forge ahead, the investments reflect the evolving landscape of crypto funding, with a focus on integrating advanced technologies such as AI.
