Webull Reports Record Crypto Revenue of $2.25 Million in Q2 2026

Webull Achieves $2.25 Million in Crypto Revenue

In the second quarter of 2026, Webull reported a significant milestone with its crypto revenue reaching approximately $2.25 million. This amount accounts for just over 1% of the online brokerage’s record total revenue of $198.8 million for the quarter, marking a remarkable 51% increase compared to the same period last year.

Overall Revenue Growth and Trading Performance

The surge in overall revenue was primarily fueled by traditional brokerage operations, particularly equity and options trading, which generated about $112 million, or 56% of total revenue. Notably, trading-related revenue saw a substantial rise of 66% to $147.7 million.

Customer Growth and Assets

During this period, Webull reported a total of $28.5 billion in customer assets, with funded accounts seeing an 8% rise to 5.13 million accounts globally. President and Director Anthony Denier shared these crypto figures during Webull’s earnings call on August 19, 2026.

Gradual Rollout of Crypto Features

Webull is in the process of gradually implementing cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal features. Denier indicated that this would enable users to transfer assets to and from external wallets, enhancing user functionality. However, details regarding the timeline and supported assets for this rollout remain unspecified.

Looking Ahead: Prospects for Crypto Trading

Denier expressed some optimism regarding the crypto sector, noting early signs of improvement after what had been a disappointing few quarters for the business. However, he acknowledged that the potential impact of new deposit and withdrawal features on future trading activity remains uncertain.

Analyst Expectations and Market Comparisons

Market analysts are keen to see whether the introduction of these new features will lead to increased trading activity in the coming quarters. In comparison, competitors like Robinhood reported their crypto revenue at around $100 million, even with a 38% decline, highlighting the challenges faced within the sector.

Conclusion

While Webull has made significant strides in traditional trading, its performance in cryptocurrency trading indicates it is still in the early stages of growth. As the firm continues its strategy focusing on active trading, international expansion, and the incorporation of advanced technology, the crypto facet is expected to remain a supplementary growth avenue.
