Strategy Reduces Bitcoin Holdings by $105 Million and Repurchases STRC Shares
Strategy’s Recent Financial Moves
In a significant shift in its investment strategy, the company known as Strategy sold $105 million worth of Bitcoin last week, specifically trimming their holdings by 1,638 BTC. As a result, their total Bitcoin holdings have now decreased to 842,138 BTC, acquired at an average price of $75,419, bringing the total acquisition cost to $63.51 billion.
Stock Sales and Share Repurchases
Strategy raised a total of $290.6 million by issuing 3.01 million MSTR shares. Simultaneously, the company focused on growing its financial reserves, increasing its USD reserves by $250 million to a total of $4 billion.
As part of their financial adjustments, Strategy also repurchased 912,143 shares of its preferred stock, STRC, for a total of $81.2 million, according to a recent SEC filing.
Dividend Rate and Market Performance
Moreover, Strategy maintained STRC’s annual dividend rate at 12%, indicating that it does not plan to recommend a reduction until the shares consistently trade near their targeted $100 value.
In the market, MSTR shares decreased by 1.9% in pre-market trading, which coincided with a weekend dip in Bitcoin’s price, now at $62,500.
