Bitget Wallet Launches Assetback to Convert Cashback into Crypto and Stocks

Bitget Wallet Launches Assetback for Cashback Conversion

Bitget Wallet is set to unveil its new feature, Assetback, on August 1, allowing eligible card users to convert their purchase rewards directly into Bitcoin, tokenized gold, U.S. equity tokens, an exchange-traded fund token, or USDC.

Reward Options and Structure

With Assetback, cardholders can choose from seven reward assets: BTC, Tether Gold, tokenized shares of Nvidia, Tesla, and Alphabet, along with an S&P 500 product or USDC. Users will receive a 2% base reward on eligible purchases, with the potential to increase to 3% for those qualifying during certain booster periods.

Rewards will become available for redemption seven days after eligible transactions, with a minimum requirement of one USDC before users can withdraw their rewards. Cardholders will also have the flexibility to change their selected reward asset once each month.

Key Limitations and Exclusions

While the rewards structure is designed to be straightforward, Bitget Wallet has specified that rewards do not apply to all payments. Certain merchant-category exclusions, monthly caps, and risk assessments may affect eligibility. Additionally, transactions that are refunded, reversed, or canceled do not qualify for rewards.

Understanding Tokenized Stocks

The equity and ETF rewards will utilize a system named xStocks, which provides blockchain tokens backed by the underlying securities held in custody. Users should note that tokenized stocks offer exposure to the stock market but do not provide the same rights or benefits as traditional shares held in a brokerage account. Factors such as redemption access, trading abilities, and protections will vary based on the issuer and the user’s location.

Availability and User Experience

Bitget Wallet’s cards are accessible in regions including Europe, Asia, Latin America, and parts of Africa. Depending on the regional issuing partner, cards may operate under Visa or Mastercard. Additionally, the card supports payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay in select markets, converting chosen crypto assets into fiat during transactions.

Users are required to complete identity verification and reside in supported jurisdictions to access the card. It’s important to consider that users may incur conversion, foreign-exchange, and other charges – notably, Assetback should not be viewed as a guaranteed financial return.

Recent Adoption Trends

Bitget Wallet claims a user base exceeding 100 million, reporting that spending through its card nearly tripled in the first half of 2026. The company’s statistics noted a monthly crypto-card payment volume of $656 million in May, compared to $271 million the previous year.

Looking Ahead

The launch of Assetback will provide insight into demand for the new cashback model, as users will be able to engage with it through the Bitget Wallet app version 9.5.3 or higher. By automating the conversion of rewards into assets, Bitget Wallet aims to simplify the investment process, applying a dollar-cost averaging strategy to everyday spending. However, the valuation of assets received as rewards may fluctuate, highlighting the inherent risks associated with investment in cryptocurrency and tokenized products.
