Binance Futures Introduces BITO and Treasury ETF Perpetual Contracts
Binance Futures Introduces New Perpetual Contracts
On July 27, 2026, Binance Futures launched three perpetual contracts linked to both the ProShares Bitcoin ETF and several U.S. Treasury products. The newly available contracts, known as BITOUSDT, TMFUSDT, and TBTUSDT, are settled in USDT and support up to 25x leverage.
Details of the New Contracts
The trading for these contracts commenced at five-minute intervals, with TMFUSDT opening first at 13:30 UTC, followed by TBTUSDT at 13:35 UTC, and BITOUSDT at 13:40 UTC. Each contract allows traders to take long or short positions with no expiration, making them suitable for diverse trading strategies.
TMFUSDT is designed to track the performance of the Direxion Daily 20+ Year Treasury Bull 3X ETF, while TBTUSDT mirrors the ProShares UltraShort 20+ Year Treasury ETF, benefiting when long-term Treasury bond prices drop. Meanwhile, BITOUSDT provides exposure to the ProShares Bitcoin ETF, linking traders to Bitcoin futures rather than directly to Bitcoin holdings.
Trading Specifications
Each contract sets a minimum order size of 0.01 units and requires a notional value of at least 5 USDT. The contracts will undergo funding settlements every eight hours, with a funding rate locked between -2% and +2%, and a base interest rate set at 0%. Furthermore, Binance allows the use of multiple assets as collateral, providing flexibility for traders.
Implications for U.S. Traders
While the contracts are linked to U.S.-listed assets, Binance has clarified that availability may differ by region. U.S. customers should note that their access to these products is not guaranteed by the underlying assets being U.S.-listed. Binance.US functions as an independent entity with its regulatory framework, separate from Binance.com. Traders are advised to verify eligibility and adhere to local derivatives regulations when considering these leveraged products.
Strategic Move by Binance
The introduction of these perpetual contracts signifies Binance’s efforts to enhance its offerings in the realm of tokenized traditional finance. By integrating references to established U.S. investment products into its all-day trading environment, Binance is advancing its goal of evolving from a simple crypto exchange to a comprehensive financial super app. According to Shunyet Jan, head of spot trading and derivatives at Binance, the platform is diversifying its focus beyond just crypto trading.
